Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28, 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American performer, singer and voice-actor. Ariel started her acting career at a young age, starring in a Cool Whip commercial at age 6. The first time Ariel appeared on TV began at age seven, on CBS's Listen Up! Following these roles her next role was to appear in Monk Bones and ER. Gretchen was the character she played in 2007 on the Disney's Original Channel's cartoon program Phineas and Ferb. Her first role in live action came in the year following in the role of Alex Dunphy of the hit TV show Modern Family. The rest of her cast won four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Ensemble Performance in an Comedy Series. Ariel continues to do voice acting, voicing characters such as ParaNorman Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel is a Taekwondo purple belt. She is the younger sister to Shanelle Workman. She has an active band known as WickedSweet and loves singing. In addition, she works for environmental charities which promote the green way of life.
